CDFA CalCannabis

As directed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing has released regulations to establish cannabis cultivation licensing for the state of California, and is developing a track-and-trace system that will record the movement of cannabis and cannabis products through the state's supply chain, from cultivation to sale.

State Licensing Fees

The state will require an application fee with each submission. Once approved an annual license fee shall be paid to the department prior to issuance of a license or renewal. The fee schedule is the same for adult-use and medicial licenses, as follows:

Permits for Larger cultivations are not expected to be available from the department until 2023.
